When do you book florist for wedding

Ideally, I recommend booking a florist 6 to 9 months in advance, but many popular dates book 12 to 18 months ahead of time, so if flowers are important to you and you want to make sure you get that florist you had your eyes on for a while, book as soon as you can.

I know how easy it is to be deceived by size if you are not aware of what flowers cost, but believe me when I say smaller is not always more cost effective when it comes to centerpieces. Off course if a small arrangement and a large arrangement are created with the same flowers, the smaller one will indeed, be more cost effective. But overall, It depends so much on the flower types used. Whereas using lilac, garden roses and sweet peas, for example, this same budget would allow only for a low profile centerpiece, much smaller than the elevated arrangement though still very pretty.

However if you have no idea then that's okay too. If this is your case let your florist guide you to suggest designs that fit in with your venue, budget and colour scheme.

Before you jump into the world of flowers it's a good idea to know what your budget is for flowers and what you would be willing to spend. This will help your florist be able to suggest what designs would be best to fit into your budget. You can always add on extra designs as you get nearer to your day if you find you want to spend more on your flowers.

You don't need to know these numbers until a few weeks before your day. So don't sweat it if you think you need to know all the details before you book your florist because you really don't.
