They have more of a turn over in people and this is not a job you want done by the new crew. A regular cabinet store who only does this for a living will surely do a better installation and have the millions of parts required to finish the job.
At least your odds are better. I have done some research and I am considering Costco. Hi Tasha L! Here at Julien, we have been crafting stainless steel sinks for almost 70 years. We have always used 16 gauge commercial grade stainless steel to manufacture most of our sinks as gauge number increases, thickness decreases. We would never recommend to go any lower than 18 gauge residential grade at least but you can find 20 or 22 gauge on the market. Thinner material sinks do not offer as good sound absorption and impact resistance as thicker ones.
Another thing that maybe could also explain why is the way the sinks are manufactured. We bend, weld and polish all our sinks by hand. Thanks to this process, we can maintain superior quality standards. But in most of the cases, cheaper sinks are simply embossed by an industrial press which deforms steel. The material becomes thinner and uneven, mostly in the corners and in the bottom of the bowl.
I don't own one but have a look at this discussion I found it interesting. Have you tried a Google search? Related Stories. A bathroom renovation in a century-old home combines era-appropriate style with updated touches. However, it brings something even more to the table than the other options you will find in its price range. While the quality and the nickel bearing stainless steel of the AR DS helps it to stand out, its super unique design puts it in a class of its own.
You would probably be hard-pressed to find such a unique design AND a great quality in this price range. In other words, the AR DS really seems to be ticking pretty much all the boxes, with its small size and great functionality being an exceptional feature combination. The cleaning area is large enough to hold all your big pans, pots and trays, and allow you to wash them comfortably. However, something you need to keep in mind is that if you will be using the sink regularly for washing those large items, you may want to consider getting a matching grid for it.
It will go a long way in preventing it from getting scratches, which is something sinks commonly get when you use them for washing big items on a regular basis. However, the drainage hole is probably located a bit too far from the area where most of the cleaning would happen, meaning that it may leave quite a bit of leftover stuff away from the drainage hole.
