Get ready to create some of the strongest weapon and armor pieces in the game. Enchanting is one of Skyrim's crafting skills that allows you to imbue weapons, armor, and jewelry with magical properties such as elemental damage or waterwalking.

For the purposes of the Guardian Standing Stones , Enchanting is part of the Mage archetype of skills. Crafted gear in Skyrim is leagues above any unique items you can find throughout your adventures, partly due to the sheer strength of Enchanting.

With Enchanting at rank and all of its perks active, you can make a weapon that deals an extra points of elemental damage or become nigh-immune to elemental damage with a few magic resistance enchantments on your gear. Every build in Skyrim can benefit from enchanting their gear , hence why many consider this skill one of the strongest in the game. Make your way to an Arcane Enchanter—Skyrim's name for an Enchanting table. In the enchanting menu, you'll be able to select which item you wish to enchant, the enchantment you wish to apply, and which type of Soul Gem you'll use to enchant the item.

Once you enchant an item, you'll lose your selected Soul Gem. That item will also be unable to be enchanted again, so think carefully about what you apply to that item.

To speed up the leveling process, enchant items with as large of a soul as you can. Grand souls grant the most experience while Petty souls grant the least; the enchantment you apply to your gear is irrelevant. Disenchanting gear uses this same principle, granting additional experience based on the strength of the enchantment. The stronger the enchantment, the more experience you will receive upon destroying the item.

I have a wonderous way to train four skills at once and still profit from it. It is a long term method and takes fullest form mid game. The first thing I do when I start the game is immediately start collecting Iron, Silver, or Gold ore. I later head into a bandit camp north of Whiterun where the Transmute spell tome is located.

This spell is stupid expensive to cast, so non magic characters find lots of problems with this tactic. During my down time between offloading loot or traveling between quests, I Transmute my iron into gold. I'm now training Alteration, which is great because i use lots of Magic Armor spells.

Jewellery gives more xp than iron daggers, the more widely known way to train Smithing. Then, I enchant all my gold rings with Fortify Carry Weight. I Sell them as I can, they're pricey, but light enough that i can still adventure with a few dozen left.

Lots of soul gems used, but i also use Bound Weapons with the Soul Binding Perk, sooooo filling soul gems is literally as easy as one well aimed arrow. It takes a VERY specific character to effectively use this method, but it absolutely tramples all others I've seen, as it trains 4 skills actively, gifts you loads of spare septims, and leaves you at Enchanting at lvl 25 which skilled enchanters know that this practically makes you a god Although, buying so many empty soul gems eventually weighs a t o n.

Simulation Games. Mobile Games. Elder Scrolls. Final Fantasy. Expert -level trainers can train you to level 75, and Master -level trainers can train your skill up to Many mage, thief and fighter skills can be trained for free by simply stealing the fee back after each training.

Simply pick an area with easy access to trainers who are sleeping in their beds. The Companions building in Whiterun works for fighter skills , the College of Winterhold works for mage skills, and Riften would probably work for thief skills. Talk to the trainer at night while they are sleeping and train your skill, then wait till they go back to bed and steal the money spent back. Be sure to steal the money back after each single skill up because the success rate will decrease as the trainer gains more gold.

Using this trick you will not only gain free levels in your chosen skill, but your pickpocket skill will increase very quickly.

If you're particularly interested in leveling up Archery , Sneak , Pickpocketing or Lockpicking , the Thieves Guild is an ideal training ground. Follow the same procedure as above -- level with the appropriate trainer than pickpocket the money back.

However, what makes the Thieves Guild so great for training is the fact that you won't rack up a bounty if you are caught trying to retrieve your hard earned cash. If you are caught with your hand down a trainer's pocket, they will reply with something like "I suppose I can let it slip this time. Do this as much as you want -- it is definitely the safest way to train for free. Don't feel bad though, they're all thieves after all -- wouldn't it be a little hypocritical of them to blow a gasket when they're the ones getting their pockets picked?

As they say, what goes around comes around. Last Edited: 22 Aug pm. Additionally, using certain potions , or magical items that increase the pickpocketing skill. Hiring followers like Aela, Athis , Farkas , Faendal , Njada and Vilkas will surely help you boost your skill and character levels without paying for the training.
